Corona Information

Here you will find a summary of current measures and changes by Salzburger Kulturvereinigung with regard to the Corona virus.

The Salzburger Kulturvereinigung takes the responsibility for its customers and employees very seriously and will contribute to preventing the corona virus from spreading further: We are following the decrees and recommendations of the Austrian Federal Government and are in permanent contact with the responsible authorities.

Opening hours Ticket office

 

The ticket office will be open again for in-person customer service beginning Monday, March 1. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Due to the Corona pandemic, visits to the ticket office are only possible individually with FFP2 masks. Please keep your distance and observe the protective measures in place on site.

Opening hours Georg Trakl museum

The Georg Trakl Research and Memorial Centre reopens for visitors february 8.

Corona-related event changes

Due to the extension of the official Austrian-wide ban on events until the end of march, 2021, the concerts of the Salzburger Kulturvereinigung have to be cancelled. For the value of your already paid tickets you will receive a credit on your Kulturvereinigung customer account. If you bought your ticket at one of our sales partners (ticket office, tour operator, Ö-Ticket, Ticketgretchen), please contact the respective advance booking office.
 


The following events are affected by changes:

Cancellation: Mozarteumorchester Salzburg
Wednesday, 21., Thursday, 22. to Friday 23. April 2021 

As the pandemic-related situation does not offer any prospects for cultural events with audience attendance in April either, the Salzburg Cultural Association unfortunately has to cancel the season's closing concerts.
 

Cancellation: Filharmonie Brno

Wednesday, 7. April to Friday, 9. April 2021 (Original dates wednesday, 14 October to Friday, 16 October 2020)

 

Cancellation: SWR Symphonieorchester
Mittwoch, 11., Donnerstag, 12. und Freitag 13. November

Due to current COVID-19 regulations in Germany, including a greater distance between musicians than austria, the performance of "Alpensinfonie" and Tschaikowsky´s 6th symphony ist not possible. We are pleased to offer an appealing alternative programm. Please refer to the specific event page for details.

Cancellation: Mozarteumorchester Salzburg: Weihnachtsoratorium
Wednesday 16, Thursday 17 and Friday 18 December

Due to the Austrian-wide official ban on events, which has been extended until January 17, the orchestra concerts of the Mozaretumorchester with the Bach Choir and soloists under the direction of Matthew Halls have to be cancelled at short notice. Unfortunately, a postponement is not possible due to scheduling reasons. Thank you for your understanding.

Cancellation: New Year's Eve Concert Zell am See
Thursday, 31 December

Due to the Austrian-wide official ban on events, which has been extended until January 17, the New Year's Eve concert with the Philharmonie Salzburg and soloist Kamilė Kubiliūtė conducted by Elisabeth Fuchs has to be cancelled at short notice. Unfortunately, a postponement is not possible due to scheduling reasons. Thank you for your understanding.

Cancellation: New Year's Eve galas "Wenn die Elisabeth nicht so schöne Beine hätt" SZENE Salzburg
Thursday, 31. December, 4 and  7:30 p.m.

Due to the Austrian-wide official ban on events, which has been extended until January 17, the New Year's Eve galas with the Ballaststofforchester  have to be cancelled at short notice. A postponement is unfortunately not possible due to scheduling reasons. Thank you for your understanding.

Cancellation: New Year's concerts with the Symphonieorchester Vorarlberg
Friday, 1 January 2021, 3 and 7 p.m.

Due to the Austrian-wide official ban on events, which has been extended until January 17, the New Year's debut concerts with the Symponieorchester Vorarlberg and the soloist Kian Soltani under the direction of Leo MacFall have to be cancelled at short notice. A postponement is unfortunately not possible due to scheduling reasons.  Thank you for your understanding.

Cancellation: Wiener Symphoniker
Wednesday, 13 January 2021

Due to the Austrian-wide official ban on events, which has been extended until January 17, the concert with the Wiener Symphonieorchester and soloist Baiba Skride conducted by Alain Altinoglu has to be cancelled. A postponement is unfortunately not possible due to scheduling reasons. Thank you for your understanding.

Cancellation: Estonian National Symphony Orchestra
Thrusday, 14., and Friday, 15. January 2021
Due to the Austrian-wide official ban on events, which has been extended until January 17, the concerts with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and soloist Daniel Lozakovich under the direction of Neeme Järvi have to be cancelled. A postponement is unfortunately not possible due to scheduling reasons. Thank you for your understanding.

CancellationBelgien National Orchestra and Silver-Garburg
Wednesday, 3rd, Thursday 4th and Friday 5th of February

Due to the Austrian-wide official ban on events, which has been extended until the end of February, the concerts with the Belgian National Orchestra and the piano duo Silver-Garburg under the direction of Constantin Trinks have to be cancelled. A postponement is unfortunately not possible due to scheduling reasons. Thank you for your understanding.

Cancellation: Carnival soirée and Carnival matinee
Saturday, 13th of February 4 p.m. and Sunday, 14th of February 11 a.m.

Due to the Austrian-wide official ban on events, which has been extended until the end of February, the Carnival soirée and the Carnival matinee with the Orchester der Salzburger Kulturvereinigung under the direction of Helmut Zeilner have to be cancelled. A postponement is unfortunately not possible due to scheduling reasons. Thank you for your understanding.

Cancellation: Budapest Festival Orchestra and Elisabeth Kulman
Wednesday, 17th, Thursday, 18th and Friday, 19th of February

Due to the Austrian-wide official ban on events, which has been extended until the end of February, the concerts with the Nudapest Festival Orchestra and Elisabeth Kulman under the direction of Iván Fischer have to be cancelled. A postponement is unfortunately not possible due to scheduling reasons. Thank you for your understanding.

Cancellation of the introductory lectures in the 2020/21 season due to corona-related conditions
The introductory lectures with Gottfried Franz Kasparek before our subscription concerts unfortunately cannot take place in the 2020/21 season due to corona-related editions. However, if you are interested, you can download our respective program booklets as pdf files from our website on Monday before the concerts. Many thanks for your understanding.

 

Information for concert visitors about COVID-19 measures

We conduct our events in compliance with the applicable COVID-19 measures and in compliance with our specially developed security concept. Please note the applicable measures for your event visit! You can download them here.

From October 23, it is mandatory to wear "mouth and nose protection" from entering the venue until leaving it, including during the event.
