Originally programmed for the 20th anniversary in 2020, the gala concert "Salzburg bist du großer Töne" of the Salzburger Chorverband will be repeated in 2021 as part of the Salzburger Kulturtage.

Helmut Zeilner, regional choir director of the Salzburger Chorverband and director of the orchestra of theSalzburger Kulturvereinigung, will bring together hundreds of singers and musicians for this unique project in the Große Festspielhaus at the gala concert. This is the highlight of the Chorverband's festive day, preceded on this day by a mass in the Cathedral and a great singing festival in the Old Town, which will impressively showcase the Salzburgers' enthusiasm for singing. At the gala concert in the Großes Festspielhaus, where the audience and guests of honor will gather in the evening, choral works by Handel, Mozart and Mendelssohn Bartholdy will be heard, as well as Beethoven's "Freude schöner Götterfunken".
