Beethoven's five piano concertos are among the crown jewels of classical music. With them, the Perfector of Classical Music founded the symphonic Concerto of Romanticism and Modernism. The Salzburg Cultural Association brings Beethoven's entire work complex to the stage in collaboration with the charismatic pianist Herbert Schuch and the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg with Maestro Riccardo Minasi. The concert series begun in April 2019 now leads to a finale full of passion and joy. "The music must strike fire from the man's spirit," says Beethoven - of course this applies today to the spirit and feelings of all sexes. The third concerto, the only one in minor, was the hotly debated avant-garde after 1800. Like a century later Stravinsky's "Spring Consecration", the once scandalous pictures from pagan Russia, which in their archaic, rhythmic and sensual expressivity have long since become a "classic" as well.
