Martin Grubinger Multi-Percussionist

The unique Martin Grubinger dedicates himself to the brilliant percussion concerto of the Finn Kalevi Aho, born in 1949, who is an original polystilist in the succession of Mahler and Schnittke. The title "Sieidi" means "place of worship". A ritual of extremes, a dance on a volcano. The soloist is the shaman of this exciting celebration of sounds that ends in silence.

The Bruckner Orchestra Linz will guest with a large symphonic repertoire under its principal conductor Markus Poschner. Richard Strauss has taken the "Symphonic Poem", the programme music of the Romantic period, to new heights. The hero in "heroic life" is the creative artist who asserts himself against all hostility and is ultimately celebrated in an almost Olympic transfiguration. A hero who bears the traits of his inventor. But also a hero who victoriously steps through the gates of new music around 1900. Before that, the unique Martin Grubinger dedicated himself to a brilliant percussion concert by the Finnish composer Kalevi Aho, born in 1949, who is an original polystilist following Mahler and Schnittke. The title "Sieidi" means "place of worship". A ritual of extremes, a dance on a volcano. The soloist is the shaman of this exciting celebration of sounds that ends in silence.
