The Royal Philharmonic of Galicia, one of Spain's great orchestras, will perform with the internationally successful conductor Pablo González and the brilliant pianist Claire Huangci. "Nights in Spanish Gardens" is the title of an atmospheric piano concerto by Spain's national composer Manuel de Falla, and this title is also the motto of the evening. Maurice Ravel's G major concerto also has a southern charm, as the composer's mother was Basque. Of course, this piece is also a fine homage to Mozart. These piano treasures are framed by two fiery ballet suites de Fallas, in which the rhythms of flamenco and other Spanish dances create a great atmosphere. In "Dreispitz" and in "El amor brujo" it is about Eros and passion, sensuality and joie de vivre.
