Mozart Clarinet Concerto

In April, spring can no longer be overlooked, and Robert Schumann's first symphony, which not only bears this joyful season in its title, but also conveys it in sound, is a perfect match. A genius is hopefully paving its way here.

In April, spring can no longer be overlooked, and Robert Schumann's first symphony, which not only bears this joyful season in its title, but also conveys it in sound, is a perfect match. A genius is hopefully paving its way here. "Sending light into the depths of the human heart - the artist's profession!" Schumann's motto is, after all, also a message of spring, when the days start to get longer and the sun begins to warm. The Mozarteumorchester Salzburg performs under the direction of the Czech conductor and composer Petr Popelka. At the beginning there is the 4th symphony of Franz Schubert.  It is not as "tragic" as its epithet, but belongs to those works in which the young man sought his own symphonic path with surprising harmonic ideas and already unmistakable melodicism after Haydn and Mozart and despite Beethoven. Between Schubert and Schumann we hear the most famous of all clarinet concertos, that of Wolfgang Amadé Mozart, played by the charismatic and expressive master of this so human instrument, Matthias Schorn. What could be better for a musical spring evening?
