VILDE FRANG Violin

French maestro Alain Altinoglu and the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra are the top-class interpreters of great German Romanticism on this evening. "It's all blue skies, trickling springs, sunshine and cool green shade!" so friend Billroth spoke about the "Wörthersee Symphony", for which its author was not blameless, as he himself declared that the melodies just flew at you from this lake. And Eduard Hanslick rejoiced in his review about the "spring-blooming earth" to which Johannes Brahms had turned after the abysses of his "First". The Norwegian Vilde Frang is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated violinists of our time, a strong personality with charisma and sovereign virtuosity. This time she performs the Violin Concerto, one of Robert Schumann's last works, published long after the composer's death and filled with resounding poetry and visionary harmony.
