Cathedral concert

Joseph Haydn’s three-part oratorio “The Creation” was an overwhelming success right from its premiere in 1798 and continues to captivate audiences to this day. With his depiction of divine creation, Haydn crafts a monumental worldview that brings the full power of the cosmos to life, whilst at the same time giving a uniquely and inimitably musical expression to nature’s small wonders – the murmur of the stream, the delicacy of the plants, the movement of the animals.
