Postponement of the gala concert "Salzburg bist du großer Töne!" to May 25, 2022
The opening for rehearsals for the Austrian choirs and brass bands will probably only take place with July 1, 2021. Due to the resulting short rehearsal and also planning time, the Chorverband Salzburg and the Salzburger Kulturvereinigung have decided after detailed discussions to postpone the large-scale gala concert "Salzburg bist du großer Töne!" with Salzburg choirs and the orchestra of the Salzburg Cultural Association to May 25, 2022.
With the late opening of rehearsal operations for choirs and brass bands as of presumably July 1, 2021, the large-scale gala concert "Salzburg bist du großer Töne!" must be postponed due to the resulting short rehearsal and planning time.
In cooperation with the Salzburger Kulturvereinigung, the gala concert will kick off the "Long Night of the Choirs" on May 25, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Großes Festspielhaus and celebrate the resurrection of the choral scene in the spring of 2022 with the final movement from Beethoven's 9th Symphony with the "Ode to Joy." Afterwards, as usual, the choirs will enliven various squares in Salzburg's old town and make them resound.
Information for ticket holders
One-way tickets already purchased remain valid and do not need to be exchanged! Of course you have the possibility to cancel your already paid ticket free of charge until September 30, 2021.
