21.02.2022

The concerts from 2 - 4 March with the hr-Sinfonieorchester and conductor ALain Altinoglu will take place with an unchanged programme in the Großes Festspielhaus.

Francesco Piemontesi plays instead of Nicholas Angelich

For health reasons, pianist Nicholas Angelich unfortunately had to cancel the concerts in Salzburg. Instead, the Salzburg Cultural Association, together with the hr Symphony Orchestra, welcomes soloist Francesco Piemontesi.

The concerts from 2 - 4 March 2022 will take place with an unchanged programme in the Großes Festspielhaus.

Francesco Piemontesi
Born and raised in Locarno, Switzerland, Piemontesi now lives in Berlin and is considered one of the most outstanding pianists of our time. Francesco Piemontesi's playing is characterised by technical perfection, a wide and rich palette of colours as well as sophistication of expression. In 2021, this exceptional artist was a guest at the Salzburg Festival.
