Seven Salzburg choirs, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the soloist ensemble Serafina Starke, Paul Schweinester, and Rafael Fingerlos conducted by Carlo Benedetto Cimenti in the triple sold-out Großes Festspielhaus.

A musical celebration for young people: 300 choir children on stage and 1,600 schoolchildren in the audience.

O Fortuna! Around 1,600 schoolchildren attended the public dress rehearsal of Carl Orff's impressive vocal work “Carmina Burana” at the Großes Festspielhaus yesterday morning (February 4, 2026). Around 300 schoolchildren from six Salzburg children's and youth choirs were also on stage, giving their best alongside renowned Salzburg greats, the Bach Choir and Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, as well as the outstanding soloist ensemble Serafina Starke, Paul Schweinester, and Rafael Fingerlos. At the conductor's podium: Carlo Benedetto Cimento. All those involved were rewarded with thunderous applause. EUROPARK, as a supporter of this youth project by the Salzburg Cultural Association, enabled 700 schoolchildren to attend the concert free of charge.
